What is the main aim or objective of Vivekanand Seva Mandal ?

Today's young generation is going to be tomorrow's responsible members of the society, tomorrows builders of the nation. Their actual contribution towards the betterment of society is most needed.

Hence,Vivekanand seva Mandal through its spectrum of activities, basically aims at building up socially responsible young generation and divert the collective strength of students towards upliftment of rural area.

Does your organization works only among the engineers ?

It is a fact that most of our members are engineers, only because of the library of engineering books. But, any one who has the desire to contribute his/her efforts towards the betterment of society is always welcomed atVivekanand Seva Mandal. In fact, there are large number of people, from various fields which include Doctors, C.A.s, Students from Commerce, Science etc.,who are actively involved in all of our activities.

We are glad to inform you that we are also planning to start a library for the higher studies in the field of Commerce ( C.A., I.C.W.A., C.S. ), may be from the next year itself.

Do you compromise the career of your members by involving them in a number of extra-curricular activities ?

Ours is a process of building up a perfect human being which also includes an extra ordinary career. Our various activities, in fact, open up the doors of ambitions, doors of success for our members.

This can be very well judged from the results of our members. Many of the topper from Degree/Diploma colleges, students from topmost colleges in Mumbai including I.I.T., V.J.T.I., U.D.C.T. are active members of our organization. Five of our members are now in different countries doing their higher studies or jobs.

” Where there is a will, there is a way”, is a key of our success.

How do you manage all the activities ? From where do you get financial support ?

We are involved in a number of activities, some of them being in primary stages. The work has been distributed among different groups with different project leaders. They have overall co-ordination among them. This also teaches our members how to manage the people which in fact, is a basic point that any one should learn. The performance is evaluated regularly to strengthen the activity.

From financial support point of view, we are basically dependent upon the support from the society. In fact, it is an important hurdle in our way. But, we strongly believe and experience that " God helps those, who help others."
