Why Events?
Vivekananda Seva Mandal organizes many thoughtful events and programs throughout the year for the benefit of students, members and volunteers. If we consider Mandal to be a catalyst that help student-members to develop their personality and the character, then events are the major tools to achieve this. The main objectives for organising these events are:
1) Offer platform to our members that would uplift themselves by knowledge enrichment and character development.
2) To make members aware about social reality around them and make them compassionate about underprivileged sections of the society.
3) To let them know challenges before the nation and motivate them to take small steps to solve them.
4) Give hands-on experience for organising big and small-scale events, which are core to any organisation and thereby grow volunteer-base.
Event planning and coordination is the key to develop skills, like leadership, team-building, complete planning, timely execution and superb communication skills, in the volunteers. This help them grow in their professional career as well as make them enriched individuals in life.
It is said that action speaks louder than the words, thus our events speak much about us. Here is a list of events that support our causes and highlight our mission.
Our Events Include
Every country has different socio-cultural practices, which play a pivotal role in developing unique identity of that country. India is blessed with diversity of languages, communities, thoughts, habits and festivities. Keeping in mind the cultural aspects of the communities we work in, our events have evolved over a period of years.
Swami Vivekananda said, "The goal of mankind is knowledge." Through Unnayan (Sanskrit word, meaning 'Uplift'), Mandal attempts to live up to this goal. This forum is for students/members to receive all-round knowledge on a continuous basis. Here we invite accomplished speakers from various walks of life and allow them to share their knowledge with the younger generation.
Vivekanand Seva Mandal's base is in various educational initiatives and projects. These events provide platform to bring in positive change in the educational ecosystem of India. Although, the scale of our work could be relatively small, but we are effective in terms of intensity and the quality.
