“Out of the past is built the future. … Our ancestors were great. We must first recall that… we must build an India yet greater than what she has been.”
Swami Vivekanand Jayanti, 12th January is an auspicious day for all those who love Swami Vivekananda and his thoughts. It’s birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and is celebrated as international youth day. Mandal celebrates this day with re-committing our words and actions to the inspiring thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. We also take this opportunity to spread Swamiji's thoughts among students and wider society.
In 2014, we also initiated the activity of organizing book exhibitions at 5 different locations within Dombivili for spreading philosophical and life-essential discourses of Swamiji through books. It was heartening to receive a warm response from about 600 people towards this initiative.
We also celebrate the birth anniversary of Swamiji by organizing a blood donation camp, every year, in association with Dombivli Kidney Foundation, C. N. Patkar Charitable Trust and contribute towards saving lives of people who suffer from thalassemia, blood cancer and CKD.
